Wilstead Community Woodland, Wilstead

We started planting this site in 2019 and will complete it in 2020 - we aim to plant 3500 trees this year, across the 6.2 hectares (15.3 acres) and do the second section next winter.

This site is a work in progress - we haven't got an official title yet, and surfaced pathways and site furniture are due to go in later in the year. We're in talks with Wilstead Parish Council to select a name, so watch this space!

This new woodland was made possible with the support of L&Q Estates, the developer of the Wixams estate, as part of their contribution to the Forest. A family planting trees

How to get there:

There is no parking available at this woodland - so please do not drive there!

Run by a Charity

If your friends and family use this woodland then please let them know that it is run by the Forest of Marston Vale (Registered Charity No.1069229) and not the council!

Looking after woodlands is costly - there are benches to be maintained, bins to be emptied, grass paths to be mown and we need your support. Whether you are fundraising for us or even helping us physically look after our sites by volunteering, it all helps us to keep the Forest a growing and thriving place to live, work and play.
