Trees make life better, and your business can help us plant 5 million more

Whichever way you look at it, trees are the answer. They help to cool and clean our air, lock up carbon, reduce flooding, provide sustainable raw materials and are our best hope in combatting the climate crisis. There are thousands of businesses within the 61 square miles of the Forest, and many more just beyond, and we want to forge relationships with all who want to make a difference and help us grow the Forest. Imagine being able to state as part of your CSR policy that you’ve directly contributed to the planting of 5 million trees.

Here are some of the ways you can work with us call Robina on 01234 762605 or send her an email to discuss your ideas further.

Group from David Locke at a tree planting event

Tree planting

Whether it’s staff or customers, bring a group out for a tree planting event in the Forest. A group tree planting event can be arranged during February and March, subject to availability. You’ll start the day off meeting at our Forest Centre for refreshments and an introduction to the Charity, then we head out to the latest woodland that we’re planting. Once on site, we’ll tell you more about the woodland you’ll be helping to plant and show you how to plant a tree. Your team is then free to plant at their own pace. After planting, we head back to the Forest Centre where you can enjoy some hearty refreshments in our Café Bar.

You can choose how many trees your group plants on the day. Some companies link their tree planting target to their business’ performance, such as 1 tree for every item sold, or new business won, while others will base it around how many people are involved in planting on the day.

Staff receiving Stihl gear

Gifts in kind

We're always grateful to receive equipment or tools that can help us in our work. In the past, we received a forklift truck from Jungheinrich which has transformed firewood production and cordless forestry equipment from Stihl to help manage our woodlands.

Sponsoring events

Forest Family Fun Day

children on a bouncy castle

This is our biggest fundraising event of the year, regularly attracting 4-5000 people to the Forest Centre and Millennium Country Park. The next Forest Family Fun Day is on Saturday 4th September 2021 and will have guest appearances from childrens' favourite Peppa Pig and little brother George at intervals throughout the day.

You can get involved by sponsoring all, or part, of the event, advertise in the Programme, take a trading pitch on the day or make a donation for the tombola or Grand Raffle.

Full details of how to get in involved in this special event are available in our Forest Family Fun Day Corporate Brochure:

Wear it Green Day

Every year March 21st is the United Nations’ International Day of Forests, and we celebrate by making it a Wear it Green Day. We encourage local schools, community groups and organisations to get involved by wearing something green on the day and donating £1 each to the Forest. Sign your business or group up to take part in the next Wear it Green Day by filling out this form.

Venue Hire and Team Building

As a social enterprise and the home of the charity, The Forest Centre & Millennium Country Park is the perfect venue for your next meeting or team building event. With spaces suitable for everywhere between 2 - 120 delegates, you can host your next event knowing that all the money raised will go towards planting trees and looking after local woodlands.
