Richard and Ashley of Canoe Trail have been working with us since 2014, enabling more people to get into the great outdoors (and Richard helpfully stepped in as MC/Auctioneer at the eleventh hour for our Enchanted Forest Fundraising Ball)! Canoe Trail work from Matchstick Wood, an area of woodland within our Grange Estate, to run team building and group activities like bushcraft, paddle boarding and kayaking (check out their website), as well as their award winning canoe and camp trips, voted in the Top 50 Best Weekends in Lonely Planet Magazine. In return for the use of the woodland, Canoe Trail make an annual financial contribution to the Forest.

They are running summer holiday activities in partnership with Bedford Borough Council throughout the holidays - check out their activity list.

We have a great partnership with the Forest of Marston Vale, and it is a charity at the heart of what we believe in, protecting and promoting our local woodlands.  Matchstick Wood plays an integral role in developing our youth work with local charities as well as offering the public a chance to camp out under the stars.
