What's going on News What GDPR means for you and the Forest Data protection is stepping up Sign up here You may have noticed that you’re getting lots of emails right now that say something along the lines of ‘data protection is changing’ or ‘keep in touch’ – if you were wondering why, it’s because of something called GDPR (General Date Protection Regulation). It’s a European law that comes into force on 25th May and very basically means that the way companies keep and use your data will be more heavily regulated – no one will be able to contact you without your consent to do so, which should cut down on all the spam emails and phone calls (PPI people – I’m looking at you!) If you’re already on our mailing list, then we’ll have contacted you about re-opting in – unfortunately it’s just something that we have to do in order to make sure that everyone on our list is happy to be contacted, so if you forget then you’ll need to re-sign up on here after 25th May. We’d obviously love to keep telling you about what we have going on in the Forest, so we hope that you do sign up! You can re-sign up by clicking the button below or sending us an email. If you’re interested in GDPR and what it means for you in a personal or business capacity, then you can find loads more information on the ICO website or at the official European website.
