Well done riders! Chafing the dream We want to say a huge thank you and well done to everyone who did the 55 mile London to Brighton bike ride for us this Sunday. Five members of the public and two of our staff managed to raise an incredible £1364.60 for the Forest. They lucked out with the weather - our Forest Development Officer Darren and friends managed to complete it in 5 hours 45 (including the harrowing ride up Ditchling Beacon) and our Ranger Jane managed a very respectable 8 hours (both times include all stops). The rest of the team are all in awe - none of us were brave enough to even attempt it! Darren, Jane and friends at the beginning Jane and Darren once they'd gone their separate ways A huge thank you to everyone who took part on our behalf - all the money raised will go back into planting trees and looking after our local woodlands. You can still donate to their fundraising pages below (go on, you'll make some sore people very happy!): Darren's Page Jane's Page If you've ever fancied doing a huge bike ride, run or sky dive for charity but don't know where to get started - we can help!
