What's going on News The Forest Shelter is coming After many years of wanting our very own Forest Shelter it’s finally happening! Thanks to £9k funding from the Postcode Local Trust and the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, £4k from Tesco Bags of help and a lot of fundraising activity by our Forest Volunteers, we’ve achieved our total and building work starts this week. It’ll be a 10x6m shelter on our event field, next to the Wetlands Nature Reserve – perfect for school groups, brownies, cubs and any other groups wanting to base their visit outdoors in all weathers. A diagram of the Forest Shelter design We’re so happy that we’re finally building a Forest Shelter that we’re even having a rather special launch event, but you’ll have to wait and see for more details (watch this space…) On a practical note, you will still be able to access the Wetland Trail while works are being carried out but make sure any children are kept under close supervision. As ever, no dogs and bikes are allowed on the Wetland Trail. Postcode Local Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of the People's Postcode Lottery - find out more about playing and supporting more amazing charities on their website.
