A huge thanks to everyone who joined us at our 'Teddy bears’ picnic and fun in the Forest' event at Shocott Spring on Sunday 3rd July - we had over 40 local families joining us for the afternoon, and finding out more about the Community Forest!

We had a great day doing walks and talks around the woodland, playing traditional games courtesy of the Forest of Marston Vale Volunteers, making tree cookie necklaces, nature crowns and leaf bashing artwork with Shona from Marston Vale Forest School, eating and drinking delicious treats from Dessert Boss and S&J Bars and creating our 'HANDS UP for the trees' banner - using our handprints to create a picture of the leaves, grass, bird and butterflies in our woodlands to show our love for the Forest!

Most importantly it was fantastic to see local families out and about exploring the Community Woodland on our doorstep.

If you live near one of our sites then keep your eyes peeled for our next event - we might be coming to a woodland near you...!
