14 in a row The Green Flag Award is an international mark of quality for parks and green spaces - and we're over the moon that the Millennium Country Park has just been awarded its 14th consecutive one! It's no wonder our ranger team are all smiles in the picture, because the Award is down to their hard work and dedication. It's been a tough year for the team - dealing with more antisocial behaviour than ever before. It was great that during lockdown the Park provided somewhere to exercise and some solace in nature, and we know that most of our visitors treated it with respect and care. Though sadly not all - littering has been at a record level and vandalism, well there's been plenty. Also for much of the year, our team of 5 had to work without the help of their crew of volunteers, due to COVID-19 - and they don't just look after the Millennium Country Park, there's 9 other sites for them to care for. So this year's Award means more than ever - amazing work Anna, Nicola, Stephen, Tony and Jane! You can find out more about the Green Flag Award on the official website. As a small charity, we've been hit hard by COVID-19. Our Forest Centre is operating at a reduced capacity and we can't run all of the events that we usually would, so Help us get growing again - we need your support! Manage Cookie Preferences
