Join us for our next volunteer day on Thursday 20th June and help us to pull ragwort in the wood pasture area of Queens Wood. We would really appreciate your help!

The Wood Pasture meadow at Queens Wood is currently in poor condition for grazing and has a fair amount of ragwort which is toxic to horses and cattle. To improve the quality of the grass we need to be able to graze it and to graze it we need to pull the ragwort. Improving the grassland will benefit the wildflowers, invertebrates, small mammals and birds which use it including both harvest mice and barn owls.
