Tree Guard Removal Day: Shocott Spring, Shortstown Be Part of Something Bigger! Tree guards are an essential part of a woodlands growth, protecting the baby trees from nibbling wildlife and the unpredictable weather. The down side... they are plastic! Although we are working hard towards a better, more eco-friendly solution to plastic guards, we have already planted over 2 million trees (and counting) - now that's a lot of tree guards! Join us on a Tree Guard Removal Day where you can be part of the mission to remove all redundant plastic tree guards from our mature woodlands. This is a free, voluntary event. We need to know how many people are attending, so please book your place below. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed. Meeting point will be at the carpark behind Cotton End Forest School entrance, more details will be provided before the event. If you have any questions or enquiries please contact our ranger team via email: [email protected] This is a free event, but please consider donating a small amount when booking your place - all money raised goes back to helping the charity, and supports us planting more trees and looking after the Forest of Marston Vale.
