Stephen Tonkin: 10 ways the universe is trying to kill you!

Join Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society Stephen Tonkin to find out about gamma-ray bursts to asteroid impacts, and everything in between - this is an overview of cataclysmic events. This light-hearted, but scientifically robust approach incorporates a lot of fundamental cosmological processes, from stellar evolution to galactic interaction.

Talks are approx. 1 hour long, with time for questions. Limited space available, please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

As there is a cost involved in putting on the Learning Lunchtime talks, donations to the Forest of Marston Vale are much appreciated. There will be a collection bucket in the room or you can click here to donate online if you'd prefer. Parking charges also apply. Friends of the Forest get free parking all year round* at the Forest Centre - click here for more information.
