Keeping it local

We're excited to announce that on Friday 26th April we’re launching monthly music nights at the Forest Centre. Exclusively featuring local artists and bands, the performers will be hand chosen by Bedfordshire talent agency, Spectrum Elite, whose goal is to find venues to showcase the variety of local talent. As Bedfordshire’s Community Forest, we're excited to be a part of a promotion of just how great the area is - it's a no brainer for us!

It'll be the last Friday of the month (excluding August and December), and we kick things off with Flywheel, a 4-piece band covering a mix of rock and indie covers from the likes of U2, Coldplay, the Killers, Stereophonics, Bon Jovi, Kings of Leon and Oasis.

Willow Tree Gin and Spectrum Elite Logos

Keeping to the local theme, we’ll be featuring gin cocktails using Willow Tree Gin - the new, premium gin that is available in the Café Bar (from Thurs 21st March). Willow Tree Gin is produced in Bedfordshire and for every bottle sold, owner and producer Mary Vincent will be donating 50p to help plant trees in the Forest of Marston Vale. We are officially launching our partnership on International Day of Forests!

These nights are all about supporting local talent, local businesses and your local community forest - and besides, do you really need an excuse to drink gin and listen to live music on a Friday night...
