From their decline after WWII to their current whereabouts

If you've been around the Millennium Country Park, you'll have seen our resident Exmoor ponies! Liz Barker of the Exmoor Pony Society looks at the history of the nation's favourite ponies and their homeland - how did their numbers climb after reaching near extinction point during WWII and how did they end up here in Marston Moretaine?

Talks are approx. 1 hour long, with time for questions.

As there is a cost involved in putting on the Learning Lunchtime talks, donations to the Forest of Marston Vale are much appreciated. Parking charges also apply. Friends of the Forest get free parking all year round* at the Forest Centre - click here for more information
