The arrival of the Norman elite in 1066 completely changed land distribution and usage throughout England - we can only gain an insight into this period through the Domesday Book. Brian Webb looks at remaining Norman sites in Bedfordshire to unravel the important changes in who owned the land, how it was used and how it has gone on to influence the modern countryside, which we all know and love.

Talks are approx. 1 hour long, with time for questions. Feel free to grab a tea or coffee from the Lakeside Cafe beforehand and take it in with you!
