Bedfordshire past and present

'An introduction to the countryside of Bedfordshire beginning with its geological foundations and linking this to the present pattern of land use and agriculture. The aim of this rapid tour of the landscape is to provide a simple framework which is a useful guide to understanding the various distinctive areas within the county. This talk invites the audience to ask more questions of what they see and perhaps take an active interest in present day countryside and its future in a time of rapid change.'

Talks are approx. 1 hour long, with time for questions.

As there is a cost involved in putting on the Learning Lunchtime talks, donations to the Forest of Marston Vale are much appreciated. Parking charges also apply. Friends of the Forest get free parking all year round* at the Forest Centre - click here for more information
