Our county has a rich and varied flora - join County Recorder and Bedfordshire Flora Group’s John Wakely to discover more.

Talks are approx. 1 hour long, with time for questions. Limited space available, please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

As there is a cost involved in putting on the Learning Lunchtime talks, donations to the Forest of Marston Vale are much appreciated. There will be a collection bucket in the room or you can click here to donate online if you'd prefer. Parking charges also apply. Friends of the Forest get free parking all year round* at the Forest Centre - click here for more information.

Please note: this event will be subject to the most up-to-date Covid-19 regulations at the time of the event.

About the speaker

The Beds Flora Group was formed to collect records for Chris Boon’s excellent Flora of Bedfordshire, published in 2011. In recent years they have botanised for the BSBI Atlas 2000 project. The small group consists of plant enthusiasts of varying age and experience. There are no professional botanists in their ranks, being largely self-taught, but plenty of experience.

If you're interested in the Millennium Country Park, we run events like talks, family activities and guided nature walks throughout the year. Click here to view our upcoming events.
