Arena Events - 2011

Once again there was a fantastic array of entertainment in the Woodworks! arena

Don't miss next years Woodworks on 1st and 2nd September 2012

Viking re-enactments with Wryngwyrm

Wryngwyrm

Dark age battle reinactments twice each day next to their own village. Also don't miss a visit to the village to fidn out about cooking, leatherwork, woodwork and more - all in completely authentic Viking fashion.

11.15 am & 2.25pm

New Forest & South East Axe men

The British Lumberjack Sports Association

A very welcome return for a fifth appearance at Woodworks, albeit with a shining new name. These axe-and-saw-wielding gentlemen really mean business. With surgically sharp tools and muscles and tight trousers to make a prize fighter jealous, they will will demonstrate a level of skill and bravado that will take your breath away.

11.55am & 3.10pm

Barn owl

English School of Falconry

Beautiful birds, usually based at Shuttleworth in Bedfordshire, will fly for your delight in the arena. There will also be plenty of opportunity to meet the birds close up and talk to the handlers at their stand in the show site.

Chainsaw carving

Woodworks Chainsaw carve-up

All our chainsaw carvers together in the arena, working against the clock to produce works of art for sale to the highest bidder. Some amazing pieces have emerged from this frenzy in previous years, so don't miss it!
