Where is the Forest Centre??
   
  The Forest Centre is just off the A421 at Marston Mortaine in Bedfordshire - just follow the brown tourist signs marked Forest Centre. Only a few minutes from Junction 13 of the M1 and easy to reach from Bedford and Milton Keynes. Check the website for options and travel details.

By car: easy access from the M1 from Junction 13. Follow the A421 in the Bedford Direction into Marston Mortaine village and follow the road towards Ampthill looking for the tourist signs. The main entrance is on the left on an open road just after you leave the village.

Parking: available at the Forest Centre Car Park
Note the car park closes promptly. Winter: 9am-4pm / Summer: 9am-6pm. Weekends & holidays: opens 10am. More parking at the Greensand Ridge car park, Millbrook, Ampthill Park, Ampthill town centre, Stewartby Lake car park.

By train: From Bedford or Milton Keynes, take the Marston Vale Line. Get off at Millbrook for the Forest Centre, or Stewartby or Lidlington to access the trail there.
Note: There are no trains on Sundays.
By bus: Stagecoach buses reach many parts of the route. Community Buses also connect with the trail.
