~ Lunch Loops |
|

By public or private transport, short sections
can be walked with justifiable hostelry stops. Millbrook, Lidlington,
Houghton Conquest all offer good lunches while Ampthill and
the Forest Centre offer food throughout the day. For instance,
park at the Forest Centre, walk to Lidlington, lunch in the
Green Man, train back to Millbrook or Stewartby. Or leave one
car at the Greensand Ridge car park at Millbrook, drive to Forest
Centre, walk to Lidlington and carry on to have lunch at The
Chequers in Millbrook. The Forest Centre will provide food to
go from 10am. Ampthill is a small market town, Stewartby, Lidlington,
Marston and Houghton Conquest all have village shops. |
