Martin was born in London in 1963 and spent his 'growing up' years studying various 'arts' subjects such as radio presenting, children's' comedy entertaining, song writing and touring his band around the London clubs (in which he almost secured a major recording-contract) He also spent over 16 years in amateur dramatics which culminated in him briefly appearing in a major movie He has a HND qualification in graphic design and a City & Guilds in photography In 1995 his passion for photography (in which he had dabbled for the previous 10 years) finally set in. He recently held an exhibition of his work in which he sold more prints than he expected and is planning to hold another later in 1998 Martin has had work published in magazines and he has been surprised in how photographic commissions have 'snowballed' recently. His photographic works which are a mixture of both traditional photography and digital imaging have consisted of subjects such as landscapes, wildlife, candids, portraits, special events, abstracts, still life and the surreal You can probably guess from this that Martin doesn't like to be pigeonholed!
