Timetable of events

Wetlands - the early days 11am, 11.30am, 2.45pm

1.5 miles walk, taking approximately 1.5 hours around one of the largest wetland reserves in Europe. Join a Forest Guide who will explain the hidden wonders of the network of ponds and lakes. See what wildlife has already taken up residence and find out what we expect to arrive in the coming months.

These paths are level but unsuitable for wheelchairs and can be muddy, especially if wet!!

Round the Park 11am, 11.30am, 2.45pm

2 miles walk, taking approximately 1.5 hours on surfaced paths. Explore with us the Millennium Country Park and hear about the creation of the park. Discover the enchanted willow huts, carved swan benches and find out why only specific trees are planted in the Marston Vale.

These paths are level and suitable for all.

Stories for Families (in Wellies) 3pm

A short walk with our storytellers taking approximately 1.5 hours around the park. Listen to tales of magic, of naughty elves and beautiful princesses. Bring your boots and a coat as it could be wet and cold in the enchanted Forest.

These paths are level and suitable for all.

Messy and Fun from 11am to 1pm

Kids activities in the Learning Centre for 8 - 13 year olds. Come and join the team for some messy, crafty activities. Make a key ring or necklace. Create your own Forest bookmark and make your mark on our special opening banner. Come and get a taste of our Marvals Kids Club.

Activities take approximately 20 - 30 minutes.
Children 8 to 13 year olds only £3.00

Story Telling for Under Sevens 1 pm

A magical tale will unwind full of mystery and fun. Lasting about 30 minutes for children under 7 accompanied by an adult.

Make your Mark from 11am till 4pm

We have planted 2000 trees in the Country Park to celebrate the new Millennium and the Forest's 8th birthday. Help us complete the planting by sponsoring one of these trees and marking one of our special bricks which will be built into a sculpture, providing shelter and seating into the next Century.

Forest Centre

Open all day 9am to 9pm
