Volunteer Events Organiser (1 post part time) This volunteer post will be welcomed as a valuable member of staff. The post includes a training course of your choice, this could be as diverse as ‘Getting local people active and involved’, ‘project management’ or ‘Negotiation and Influencing skills’. This is a wide and varied role with lots of exciting elements. The post is two days a week of your choice and this is flexible. One post starting in June 2008, working until mid September 2008. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to gain hands on experience in events management and marketing. Main Duties Helping in the planning, setting up and running the Woodworks two day festival of wood, woodlands and wood products. It is a packed two days with lumberjacks, chainsaw carving, folk and roots music, have a go practical activities and crafts. Helping in the planning, setting up and running of the Ugly bug ball day. Pond Dipping, mini beast hunting, dragonfly walk, butterfly walk, face painting, band, magician, story telling, drawing competition, fancy dress competition.
