Health Walks              Walk 4 HEalth logo

Throughout the Year.  Health walks, in the company of a trained leader take place every Wednesday at 10.30am. (Most walks start at Forest Centre Reception but  some start elsewhere -  see notice board or ring 01234 767037 to confirm). Walks are free and open to everyone.

Walking could change your life! Walk at your own pace under the guidance of a trained health walk leader and enjoy the many benefits that walking can bring. Our regular walks are part of a county-wide walking scheme - Walk 4 Health in Bedfordshire, run by the Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity. To find out if there is a walk happening near where you are, contact Mike Fayers, Healthy Walking Manager, on 01767 626453 or email mikef@bedsrcc.org.uk

Public tree planting at Octagon Wood

Sunday 12 February, 2012

11am - 3pm

Everyone is welcome to join us plant the second and final phase of this new Community Woodland that lies very close to Route 51 of the National Cycle Network, between Willington and Priory Country Park.

It's timed to enable you to dedicate a tree to the love of your life, a couple of days later, but of course this isn't absolutely essential.

Planting trees is very enjpyable, it really makes a difference to the creation of the Forest of Marston Vale and you'll feel a part of the wood for many years to come.

Please come back here soon for final details of parking, transport, etc, closer to the time, or why not sign up to receive regular emailed bulletins about what's happening in the Forest of Marston Vale; guaranteed to include news about all our tree planting events - click here to find out more
