Loads to do - Out in the Fresh Air
For walkers and cyclists, we’ve got eight kilometers of traffic-free, surfaced footpaths and cycle paths. You can even rent a bicycle from our cycle hire. A wildlife and sensory garden gives you the opportunity to get close
to the magic of nature. Plants that excite the senses and through
smell, sound or touch and the surfaced path through this area means
that it is easily accessible for all. Explore the beautiful wetland nature reserve on the wetland trail and take a peek at the wealth of birdlife around you, from one of our hides (adults £2.50, children/concessions £1.75). |
We’ve got a great adventure playground for your children
to tackle and a charming wildlife garden everyone can enjoy. For

of wine, with delicious fresh food prepared in our own kitchen. The Cafe is open from 10a.m. to 5 p.m. every day (6p.m. during British Summer Time).
Find out a little more about your local countryside and the story
of the Marston Vale, with a walk around our lively interactive

shop ~ or the gallery here that sells new work by local artists?
And if you have a special occasion coming up, the centre is a
really popular venue for parties, barbeques and receptions. We
run wonderful childrens’ parties, with special forest games

Creating a Forest - For Our Children and Other Wildlife
The Forest Centre is at the heart of the Forest of Marston Vale
- a massive project planting a beautiful new forest between Bedford
and Milton Keynes. We’re creating breathing spaces where
we will all be able to relax and escape the pressures of the modern
world, for generations to come. And we’re breathing new
life into a landscape damaged by years of brickmaking.
