Creating the Forest

The Forest of Marston Vale aims to increase opportunities for access, sport, recreation, and for artistic and cultural events.

Tree planting and the establishment of a multi purpose forest will help revive large areas of damaged and derelict land to:

  • contribute towards the national timber supply
  • offer an alternative to agricultural land use
  • contribute to rural employment
  • create attractive sites for public enjoyment
  • enhance the natural beauty of the countryside
  • create wildlife habitats

More than anything, we are about local people rediscovering and enjoying the great outdoors.
