A Walk Amongst Trees: part of The Great Big Green Week

A tree walk you won't want to miss!

How do trees communicate? What challenges do they face? Why is tree planting important?

Our passionate and knowledgeable Community Engagement Officer, Jo Roberts will be answering all these questions, and more, on an inspiring stroll around our Wetlands Nature Reserve at the Millennium Country Park. Jo will be sharing the history of our origin by taking a closer look at the trees we plant, delving into their uses, their value to us and our native wildlife, and the folklore surrounding them.

We will be meeting at Reception at the Forest Centre.

No dogs are allowed on this walk.

Please dress for the weather and make sure to wear sturdy footwear.

Accessibility: Many of the Millennium Country Park paths are wheelchair and pushchair friendly, and we have accessible toilets on site. If you have any additional mobility needs, please contact us prior to the walk and we will aim to offer you an alternative route.

This event is in association with The Great Big Green Week. 

The Great Big Green Week, taking place between 8th and 16th June 2024, will see people across the country come together in a week-long celebration of support for action to tackle climate change and protect nature. It will show how people and communities are making swaps every day to help create a better tomorrow.
