Come along to hear the magical dawn chorus unfold at the Millennium Country Park!

With spring coming to an end, birds are nesting, clutches are hatching, and the spectacles of the dawn chorus is in full force. As migratory species settle at the Millennium Country Park, we will be on the lookout for some of our most spectacular bird species. From the extravagant song of the nightingale, the repetitive call of a cuckoo, and maybe even the purr of a turtle dove, you will leave our Dawn Chorus Bird Walk inspired by the beauty of wildlife.

The Dawn Chorus Bird Walk is a 3hr walk starting in the mixed habitats of the Millennium Country Park and finishing in our beautiful Wetlands Nature Reserve.

Bring your own binoculars if you have them. If you don’t have you own binoculars, don’t worry, our team will be able to equip you.

No dogs are allowed on this walk.

Please dress for the weather and make sure to wear sturdy footwear.

Accessibility: Many of the Millennium Country Park paths are wheelchair and pushchair friendly, and we have accessible toilets on site. For this event we will be venturing onto the callow mounds which has varied footpaths that are not all highly accessible – if you have any additional mobility needs, please contact us prior to the walk and we will aim to offer you an alternative route.
